The European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC) is offering a comprehensive training course on FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) Data for Marine Scientists. This 3-day course, funded by EMBRC-ERIC and organised by the VLIZ Data Centre and UGent–Marine Training Unit (EMBRC-BE), provides practical knowledge on how to make your data FAIR—a crucial requirement for modern scientific research and funding compliance.

Key objectives include:
- How to make different types of data FAIR
- Interoperability practices for data and metadata
- The importance of data management plans
- Hands-on techniques through quizzes, exercises, and a “Data Clinic”
Who should attend?
Marine biologists, MSc students (+), future data managers and lab technicians, anyone who has experience collecting and managing data
