Explore the future of biodiversity research in the upcoming workshop of the FAIR Implementation workshop series! The workshop ‘New Repositories for New Biodiversity Research‘ will discuss new types of FAIR repositories working with biodiversity data driven by recent technological advances.

- AI-based classification methods for image/sound/text/sequence data: the need for repositories to exchange pre-trained models and training data;
- Repositories dealing with DNA sequencing data: central repositories for incremental aggregation of sequence variants to better assess haplotype diversity in natural and medical settings.

The FAIR-IMPACT support programme helps repositories and data service providers to enhance their FAIR-enabling capabilities and develop action plans to improve them.
The support programme introduces services and tools that address topics, such as:
- Repository policy
- Making objects in the repository more FAIR
- Automated FAIR assessment
- Repository certification
