Overview:
Organised by IOC/OTGA/RTC Colombia, this self-paced course is designed for anyone interested in becoming familiar with data publishing through the global Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS) network, with a special focus on Latin America.

What will you learn?
The course is composed of five modules, where users will be introduced to the OBIS initiative and the use of data from their network. Some key topics are:
- Access and interpretation of data
- Data visualisation using different sources and tools offered by OBIS
- Data standards
- Structure and format of data tables
- Application of the basic quality control steps required by OBIS
Who can join?
Open to any Spanish-speaking individuals interested in contributing to or accessing marine biodiversity data.
